For a change we went to Amarillo

Yesterday, I was lazy to cook so I suggested we go to Helsinki for dinner. We haven’t been to Amarillo for 1.5 years. They serve typical American food – steaks, fries, nachos (machos), burgers that goes by the ounce, hot wings (buffalo wings), onion rings … and more …

They now have free seatings. So there won’t be an usher taking you to your table. You can practically choose to be seated anywhere in the restaurant, except the closed sections of course. Dang! The closed setions always have the best seatings. Anyway, we were there quite early – I think around 5pm – so the restaurant was still not so packed. We were able to find our quiet corner. The waitress came with the menus and we placed our orders. Then we were told we have to wait approximately 40 minutes for our main course to be served. But our appetizers will be served on time. Well, my hubby hesitated for a moment and asked if I want to go to Dong Bei Hu. But I said no. At first I suggested Dong Bei Hu but he said we have Chinese almost everyday. So why not go somewhere different. He wanted to go Savotta, but there’s nothing I would eat there – NOT BEAR MEAT! I rather wait 40 minutes than to brave the chilly cold wind to go back and get our car. Besides, I was thinking after Amarillo, I would like to go to Fazer cafe for a cup of hot latte and my favorite cheesecake. With much reluctance, he agreed. Though I can see he wasn’t too keen on waiting.

For appetizer, I had Hot Wings, 7pcs of wings with carrot and cucumber sticks. My main course was Acapulco Salmon,  grilled salmon, zucchini, warm vegetables, baked potato in parsley and butter, and Tejano sauce. Yeah, sure they were filling! My hubby had Pepper Steak for main course and a huge chicken salad for appetizer. Yeah we were both so hungry that we had to walk around the city to burn our fats after. *hehe* Yeah, we did walk around the city before walking over to Fazer. I was daunted to find it closed on Sundays when we finally reached the front door! Boy, was I horrified! MY LATTE! MY CHEESECAKE! *sobbbbbbbbbb*

And so … we went to fetch the car, still feeling frustrated, I told my hubby to go to the airport! We’re gonna have cheesecakes and my latte at Picnic! This showed how desperate I was for a cheesecake! Pathetic, I know.

PS. Sorry, I forgot my camera.
