  • A romantic getaway to Niagara Falls

In 1999, my hubby, then good friend, visited Niagara Falls together. Yeps, just the two of us. It was such a beautiful sight at Niagara Falls. The strong gushing of water falling was truly amazing and we were glad to experience its awe inspiring wonder of the nature. There is something about Niagara Falls that appeals to the lover, daredevil and poet in everyone. Over the years Niagara Falls has evolved from a strategic military post to a prosperous trade centre, and finally into a world class year-round travel destination.

We went on a ride on the Maid of Mist. Wow! That was really an experience. Both of us had to put on rain jackets and a waterproof hat in order to avoid getting soaking wet. It was really romantic to be on the boat ride because the boat was so shaky that my hubby had to hold me close to him so that I won’t fall *hehe*

We spent a whole day walking around Niagara Falls and driving to the nearby shopping streets such as Bridge Street and Lundy Lane. I must say besides the amazing sight of the great falls, shopping was another major attraction for us. We even went to the fashion outles of Niagara Falls. We did a handful of shoppings, exactly like the saying “shop ’til you drop”. Later in the evening, we headed back to the Falls and had a candlelight dinner at The Top of The Falls Restaurant. After dinner we took a stroll near the Falls and enjoyed the night light show.
