I went to the MAS office at Menara MAS to purchase my mom and bro’s ticket to Helsinki. There were so much frustrations before the deal was finally closed. First, the call center gave me wrong advice about additional charges for extension of stay. Thankfully I re-confirmed with the ticketing clerk before I took the ticket. I was told that besides the supposed “cheap” RM150, there’s an additional RM50 for reissuing plus RM1700. I went berserk for a while and asked them to re-check with the person who told me that. The ticketing clerk was kind enough to check for me and the guy over at the call center decided to let me rebook my flight itinerary even though it has passed the promotional period.
Well all these, after much struggle and by the time we finished it was close to 5.30pm (MAS ticketing office closes at 5pm btw). As I was driving past Wisma Lim Foo Yoong, my mom told me one ticket is missing - THANK GOODNESS! I was able to make a quick turn to Jalan Sultan Ismail and rushed to the back entrance of the ticketing office and got hold of the ticketing clerk before she left. CAN YOU GUESS WHERE WAS THE OTHER MISSING TICKET???
It was in the dustbin!!! Couldn’t have guessed that, could you?!
Btw, in case you missed a MAS flight due to a delay, forget about claiming back your Enrich points if you were flown with another airline, other than MAS. Even though you paid full fare for it, they wont give you your mileage points just because there was “no turn up”. That is so FUCKING FAIR! I paid close to €1900 for my tickets and I cannot get my enrich points. They are so fucking screwed. Next time fly MAS??? Think again - they are not worth it!
First of all, bad service onboard. Secondly, lousy and inefficient ground service. Thirdly and worst of all - they are money suckers! I asked Finnair if I had missed a Finnair flight, will they grant me my mileage points even though I didn’t fly with them nor fly with any of its partner airlines, they said they would. It is odd that MAS doesn’t!
SO DO NOT FLY WITH MAS unless they have a darn good fare! At least, with such fucked up service, it’s ok to suck up to their poor, lousy and inefficient service. I rather pay more to go for another airline company!

SOunds like an airline i want to take next time i travel
that is very wierd if they dont give you your points if you have been rerouted by other airline. I’ve been in similar situation with FIn and they gave me my points according to the original flight plan which was in my tickets.
