Yes, it’s really as POWERFUL as WebGeek claims it to be!
Yesterday, I decided that I’ve enough with the tiresome task of deleting all the automated spam comments to Cranky Thoughts & Muses. So I decided to scour Wordpress Plugins website for a plugin which will eliminate these hideous spammings. Indeed, those spam comments found themselves a gruesome death.
I’m so happy this morning when I checked the admin interface to see if Akismet had piled up a long list of spam comments. None were quarantined by Akismet. Instead it went right to WebGeek’s IRRETRIEVABLE spam bin!
It’s very easy to install this WONDERFUL plugin. Download, unzip and upload to server. Then activate the plugin - tada - you’re on your way to a wonderful blogging experience without spam comments.
One thing to take note, if you have a currently installed plugin such as Re-Captcha or Are you human kinda plugins - deactivate it. It’s known to clash - meaning WebGeek’s Anti-Spam won’t function properly. Well other than this, you’ve got nothing to take care of.
