Wow, this is news! Apparently, a female Muslim convert has been granted a “YES” to go back to Buddhism. This is a first, if I remember correctly. Now, I wonder, if she was allowed to turn her back because she married an irresponsible Iranian (NOTE: IRANIAN). Wonder if the situation would be the same, if she had married an irresponsible Malaysian Muslim.
She claimed Ferdoun left her a few months after their marriage and she stopped practising Islam. She also said she has no knowledge of his whereabouts.
Siti Fatimah said she had maintained her Buddhist leanings and prayed to deities like Tua Pek Kong, Kuan Yin and Thi Kong. The Star - 8 May 2008
I know there’s just too many BUTs … anyway, congratulations to Mdm Tan Ean Hung.
