Sypnosis:

A sum of drug money triggers battle of wits between Kwong Yeung (Joe Ma) and Ko Chi (Damian Lau), a detective and a thief. Yeung gradually discovers the true identity of Chi is a mob chief who uses the restaurant business to cover his illegal activities. Despite all efforts, Yeung lacks sufficient evidence to support allegations against Chi. Nevertheless Yeung keeps a close eye on Chi and believes in the ultimate triumph of good over evil. Yeung’s devotion to his work sours his relationship with his wife Hong Mei-Lei (Fala Chen). Fortunately, Lei is given support and encouragement by her best friend Bao Yung-Yung (Idy Chan). Chi is deeply attracted to Yung’s kind-hearted personality. He even risks exposing his secret identity to save her life. There is a choice between love and ideal …

I definitely recommend this to those who are into detective stories or Robinhood kinda story. Damian Lau and his five accomplices are just like modern day Robinhood except they keep part of the loots to themselves and donate the rest to charities.

In my opinion, Damian was DAMN stylish and cool. Joe Ma is quite stiff, like always, but he’s got the looks. I don’t really fancy Fala in any of the TVB series mainly because of the characters she portrayed. But her character in this series prompted me to give her a second opinion. She’s quite good. As for Idy Chan, there’s something about her that’s pissing me off. First of all, I dislike her husky voice. As for the rest of the casts, they did very well. Even Koni Lui - Long Leg Crab - is doing good.

If you thought D.I.E. by Roger Kwok and Sonija Kwok was good. This is much better!
