My neighbor, Pirjo, has very bad allergy problems during Spring and Summer. That is the time when all the pollens are swirling in the air. Therefore, we cannot find any plants, bushes nor flowers in her house and her yard. We always laughed at her because we thought her house looks lifeless and yard looks dull. Then earlier this year, just before Spring, we saw life … a sudden change in her home. She has decorated her home with some silk plants. I must say I am impressed by the quality and liveliness of the faux flowers. I thought they were real at first glance!
After that, I realized most of my lazy friends have faux trees and flowers in their homes. According to Andy, who’s a yuppie, he’s got no time to take care of them and yet would love to see some greens in his apartment. Therefore, it was a good idea that he “adopted” those faux plants. I guess I will probably adopt the habit of decorating my house with faux plants. Two kids are a handful. Guess I won’t have the energy to still take care of any other life forms *teehee* My friends who are against the rape of nature have definitely gave thumbs up for faux plants. Way to go!
