We were in Helsinki this afternoon. Took mom to L’s place for Asian food shopping and then we drove to the harbor area (I think it’s Eira area) to show mom and bro the yachts and the surrounding archipelagos. Later, we went to Carousel for coffee and pulla - “finnish buns”. Dang! I’ve forgotten to take a pix of what mom and bro ate. Anyway, mom had cinnamon buns and bro had voisilmapulla. We all had coffee.
The wind was bad this afternoon. Sending chills to mom and bro even though mom had winter jacket. Bro only had a thin layer of jacket. Poor boy! I have to get my hubby to take out his thicker jacket from the storage place so he can enjoy the rest of his trip. We had really warm weather just two weeks before they arrived. Let’s hope the temperature will rise again next week. One it’s so that they can enjoy their trip. Second so that our blooming plants won’t suffer a massive “attack” from the cold and freezing temperature.
Tomorrow we should go to Porvoo if the weather is nice. Fingers crossed. Oh yeah I should be reminded to give mom my fleece Halti jacket and bro my hubby’s Hilfiger downs jacket.
