For the Barbara Yung fans out there. Here’s the chance for you to watch a program specially broadcasted on 8 May 2008 in memory of her.
Barbara Yung Mei Ling (翁美玲) was a popular television actress in Hong Kong during the early 1980s. She died aged 26, at the peak of her career. Yung was born in Hong Kong to an affluent civil service family as an only child. Her childhood was relatively uneventful until the death of her father when she was aged 7. At the age of 15 she emigrated to England. She was a student at University of Cambridge and graduated from the prestigious Central School of Art & Design in London. Then she went back to Hong Kong and participated in Miss Hong Kong Beauty Pageant in 1982 which she came in 9th. After, her career in the showbiz blossomed.
I have watched her perform together with Michael Miu at Campbell Complex, Kuala Lumpur, in mid 80s. I even got her to sign my autograph. Yeah, I was crazy about her! Hehe … who wouldn’t at that time, huh?

Barbara is definetly a talented actress but it was really sad when i heard that she died if she didn’t commit suicide (thats what i heard) because of ken tong (thats what i heard) on this other site
if she didn’t commit suicide then from now she will be so famous and shes such a talented actress !

i think Barbara yung would much happier with Michael miu then with ken tong because Muchael Miu is such a wonderful guy and treat her really nice i feel really sad when i found out she , die but i was just are little girl when she die , if she still alive today she would have are good husband iike michael and childern too i think Michael was in love with her before just look , at all the film they be acting together all way hugged each other and may each other happy , is sound like they would meant to be together , or some one nicer then kent tong i don’t like him either , i wonder if he every forgive himself , after losing such are beeautiful girlfriend . like Barbara yung . no matter what Barbara yung i will allway be your fan too.
