I do not fancy going around a country that I visit without renting a car. I find it inconvenient to travel around by public transportation because there are so much of limitations as compared to having your own car. At least, with a rented car, I can go anywhere and at anytime I wish. I do not have to confine myself to time restrictions nor missing any spectacular places of interest. Besides, most car rental companies nowadays offer great packages and discounts from minimum 3 days car rental onwards. Most of the time, we will rent a car for one week vacation. With that we can have unlimited travel.

Besides free mileage, we do sometimes get some small discount on LDW. That helps save us a lot. Sometimes, when I got bored at one place and cannot wait to get to another place, I will just check out of the hotel impromptu and begin my journey to the next destination in the wee hours of the morning. That is how convenient and flexible by having a rented car. Save time and less hassle.
