I hate dropping my handphone. Yesterday, while on my way to visit a friend in Espoo, I actually dropped my Sony Ericsson Z520i on the tarmac ground. My heart stopped beating for a second and I let out a scream, “MY PHONE!!” … picked up my phone and inspected it for possible damages. Well, a few scratches and one dent with one opening at the docking end.

So today, I was surfing the net for a new handphone. I found W380i. I have always liked the WALKMAN series of Sony Ericsson. It’s marketed between €199-€250. Of course, I’d very much to pay for the €199. Hubby is protesting!!!

This sweety comes in 2 dazzling colors. I am most interested in ELECTRIC PURPLE! So SO ABSOLUTELY MY STYLE! Not really a fan of MAGNETIC GREY, the other color option. Hubby already has that color for his W580i.

It weighs a whopping 100g … about 8g heavier than my Z520i. Still light! Runs on 4 networks; EDGE, GSM 900, 1800 and 1900. That means I can roam in the US =D Triband plus EDGE! Comes with just 1.3-megapixel camera but can zoom up to 4x!

New features:

Bluetooth Stereo - Music from phone to headset over a wireless connection

Track ID - Record a few seconds of a song and get track, artist and album info sent to your phone within seconds

It also supports Memory Stick Micro (M2) up to 2gb and 14mb phone memory. Up to 7 hours of talktime. The rest of the specs are the normal specs I can find on a Sony Ericsson phone.
