If you’re one biking enthusiast, you’re gonna love Ewan McGregor’s Long Way Down, starring Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman. Both of them will be taking the ultimate motorcycle adventure from top of Scotland to Cape Town, South Africa, in this film which will be screened specially for one day on 31 July 2008 at selected local movie theatres. This film is directed and produced by David Alexanian and Russ Malkin. Long Way Down is a follow-up to the Long Way Round trip of 2004, which documented the motorcycle journey from London to New York via Russia, Kazakstan, Mongolia and North America.
In this film, they will face many challenges from the unknown and unforgiving terrain that test their endurance, driving skills and push their friendship to the limit. Now, this reminds me of my own adventure from Washington State to Georgia. Of course, it’s nothing compared to their adventure. My hubby and I took the northern route to the east coast and went through mountainous routes including Blue Ridge Mountains and The Great Smoky Mountains. Spectacular view, unending excitement, yet dangerous. The steep and winding roads up the mountains were unbearably amazing.
