I intend to go back to work after my boys go to the daycare next year. I have been doing a lot of networking and system administration work for a friend during my 3 years being a stay-at-home mother. I have learned and picked up quite well in this field. All these are the effort of a persistent IT guru, Andy.

With his encouragement and my progress in this field, I am adamant to pursue further in this area. Somehow, I need to have some sort of certification to be able to land myself a job in this field. So, Andy has found me some information about some certification courses I could take to enable me to find a job. He introduced me to Cisco certification.

I have browse through the certification courses they offer. Andy has suggested that I sign up for their IP Networking certification course. This course is designed for those who would like to seek advancement in managing a small, enterprise branch network. It’s a first step toward CCNA certification and will help them with entry level positions. I’ll also have the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skill to install, operate, and troubleshoot a small enterprise branch network, including basic network security.

I am positive and determined that with a Cisco certification, I’m able to create a new self, after being in seclusion for a few good years. Thanks to Andy for his excellent recommendation.  Cisco has helped a lot of professionals and people like me who would like to seek career advancement in the IT industry.
