Why the finger-pointing?
We are quoting this from Elizabeth Wong, Jeremiah Foo and Susan Loone
Tourism Minister of Malaysia whacks women bloggers
“Bloggers are liars. They use all sort of ways to cheat others. From what I know, out of 10,000 unemployed bloggers, 8,000 are women.”
“Malays will kill Chinese, Chinese will kill Malays, Indians will kill everybody else.”
“Bloggers like to spread rumours, they don’t like national unity. Today our country has achievements because we are tolerant and compromising. Otherwise we will have civil war.”
He asked people not to believe bloggers and gamble away Malaysia’s future because 50 years of Merdeka (Independence) takes a lot to achieve it. “We have to show to the people our positive attitude. If the world learns from us, there will peace and no civil war.
This is really outrageous!! How can he make such a sexist statement. Not only sexist but also racist for the statement “Malays will kill Chinese, Chinese will kill Malays, Indians will kill everyobdy else”. Sounds like he is contradicting himself … ” … they don’t like national unity”. No?
We are a melting pot. We should be proud of ourselves and feel blessed for we have been able to stay united and spread the muhibbah feeling among ourselves (Malay-Chinese-Indian) for hundreds of years! The word “Malaysian” represent all born in Malaysia. It doesn’t only represent a single race. We are proud of our country and our countrymen.
So let’s hope they will put a stop to all these non-sensible statements. Let us bloggers (LIARS?) give them the benefit of the doubt … human do make mistakes, so will leaders of the world (note: it is WORLD … not particularly Malaysia). They are not only making a joker out of themselves, but the nation.
Malaysians Abroad Blog is NOT a political blog but we cannot tolerate such accusations made towards women and significantly all the Malaysian bloggers.
If “they” sincerely want unity for the people of the country, they should first set an example themselves. After all, children take after their parents’ characters.

The world already in Internet era; but, this so-called leaders back home still can’t move forward together with the world.
They don’t think or don’t care theirs remark will insult to someone. Maybe, they just thought they are in the position, so what?
Thanks Malaysian Abroad. I dont know what foreigners think about us now
[...] Malaysians Abroad - Why the finger-pointing? [...]
Tourism minister of MALAYSIA commented that? Are you kidding me? I cannot believe it.
“Bloggers are liars” - thats because he has no blog. but i guess if someone teaches him blogging, maybe he is going to get addicted with it…hehe! Or maybe he got cheated by some blogger in his history. Hmmm….
“8,000 are women.”“Bloggers like to spread rumours” - For ages when it comes to women, they would think that their past time is gossiping around. When 8000 women have blogs, obviously more than the amount of males. He must be thinking that women have nothing else better to do that gossiping more using different material. uhhhh!
Did he actually commented this on International Women’s Day?
Refer to Susan Loone and Elizabeth Wong’s blogs … your answer is there

[...] Thank you Mr PM! You have cleared us of our “rumored” [...]
Hey ho…same ol’ sexist comment by our wonderful leaders of Malaysia! Says who that we are a developing nation? In a developed country, a stupid statement like that will cause the downfall of a person’s political career. But in Malaysia, anything goes. After all, Malaysia Boleh, right?
