iMac & UFO

Meet my iMac officially “launched”.
Oh yeah, We saw a flying object in the sky glowing from very bright to very dim … sometimes it also disappears and moves from place to place. We have been observing it for over 10 minutes now. It is still floating back and forth, up and down. We used the [...]

Do I need an Anti-Virus for my Mac?

With the rising popularity of Apple products, especially the Macies … I am sure it will sooner or later become vulnerable - so vulnerable, that they will eventually require anti-virus/malwares/trojans softwares for protection.

As for now, I wonder if I should get my Macies armed/protected? Any advice is welcomed.

Upgrading from Tiger to Leopard OS X

My Leopard OS X has been sitting on the book shelf for a little over a month now. I wasn’t able to upgrade it earlier because my mom and bro was visiting at the same time I got them from my hubby who purchased them in the States.

Now that my visitors have left, I guess it’s about time I run the upgrade. BUT … I am quite afraid to run it because I am not sure whether to do a clean installation or just run the upgrade straight from the disk without cleaning up Tiger. So I searched and googled for a solution and came across this. It’s very useful, I THINK! Especially for a first class dummy like me.

I will be doing the Archive and Install and run the upgrade straight from inserting the disk without doing a massive clean up of Tiger. Since, it sounds so easy as it says … I guess there shouldn’t be any major problems. And even if there is any, I guess it’s due to some software incompatiblity glitches.

So wish me luck! I am going to do the upgrade soon!

It’s iWork then

I mentioned earlier I was considering between Mactopia and iWork for my Macbook. I’ve finally come to a conclusion. It’s iWork after all. I was searching Amazon for cheap iWork and found iWork and iLife bundled for a whopping 90euros only. Unfortunately, they do not ship outside US. That blew my dream of having both at that super deal! And it was just yesterday, I was googling and scouring the net for fantastic deals.
