It’s beginning to sound like China … the BIG BROTHER! Learning fast! Why do they ask the CHINESE TO BALIK TONG SAN? It feels like TONG SAN in Malaysia already. So, the CHINESE shall stay.

ISPs ordered to cut access to Malaysia Today

By NURBAITI HAMDAN and CHEOK LI PENG

PETALING JAYA: All 21 Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in the country have been ordered by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to block the controversial Malaysia Today website, an industry source revealed.

The notices were sent out on Tuesday in accordance with Section 263 of the Communications and Multimedia Act.

“This means that MCMC is allowed to block any particular website which has committed acts that contravene the local laws of the country, for example, sedition,” the source said.

Meanwhile, Malaysia Today editor Raja Petra Kamaruddin lashed out against the blocking of the online portal, saying it was a breach of the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) charter.

Under the MSC Malaysia 10-Point Bill of Guarantees, it is stated that as part of its commitment to ensuring the success of MSC Status companies, the Government promised to “ensure no Internet censorship”.

“The Government has clearly broken its own promise,” said Raja Petra yesterday. Asked whether he was notified of the reasons of the blocking, he answered no.

“I will turn this into a big issue, no doubt. When it is known that the Government has violated the charter, MSC will die. I will personally see to it,” he said.

TMnet, the country’s biggest ISP, Maxis and Time refused to comment.

However, at 11.30pm, a check by The Star found that Malaysia Today has launched a mirror site which can be easily accessed.

WASHINGTON (AP) — New satellite measurements show that crucial sea ice in the Arctic Ocean has plummeted to its second-lowest level on record.

The National Snow and Ice Data Center in Boulder, Colorado, announced Wednesday that the extent of sea ice in the Arctic is down to 2.03 million square miles.

The lowest point on record is 1.65 million square miles set last September.

With about three weeks left in the melt season, the record may fall, scientists say.

Arctic ice always melts in summer and refreezes in winter. But over the years, more and more of the ice is lost to the sea and not recovered in winter.

That’s important because the Arctic acts as a refrigerator for the globe.

I am currently watching this. It doesn’t have a good storyline but I must say it’s entertaining. At least I laughed through all the episodes. Sunny Chan has a funny character. He’s always falling asleep. Damn funny! Linda Chung is ok. She’s cheerful and full of curiosity in this series. No comments on Benny Chan except one of his trademark in this series - between a monkey and a snorting pig. Dang! He’s really so offish! Halina Tam’s character is vicious and her make-up is horrendous! I don’t know why Nancy Wu doesn’t look good in ancient series.

For those who are looking for one good series to watch, perhaps this wouldn’t be a good choice. Like I said, storyline sucks. But if you’re looking for some entertainment, this would be a good one. Too much of a fairy tale!

I am VERY annoyed with my OKT neighbor because they have a problem with keeping their pets in the house. Their cats would roam around the neighborhood, sneak into houses of our neighbors and ours, shit in the house … aaarrrggghhh … they are friggin annoying! Some neighbors in our community have complained about their cats. But we didn’t take any action because we were thoughtful!

Dang, not too long ago … their friggin dog came to our community, obviously the youngest daughter, Pinya, was having him with her - FCUKING POOed on the grass opposite to our house! I WAS FURIOUS! Poor hubby gotta remove it. Guess what? Even when the poos were in the plastic bag - all sealed - it still stinked and flies were seen hoggin the bag -FREAKIN the shit outta me!

Then the friggin dog came wandering by itself again later, apparently the friggin owner had not kept an eye on it. One of our neighbors had to carry that damn dog back VIA OUR YARD! FCUK! Hey, our yard is no FRIGGIN SHORT CUT! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE!? FCUK THEM!

I SWEAR IF THOSE STRAY PETS COME AGAIN, I will send them to the SPCA! In Finland, it’s illegal to have pets roaming outside the house without the supervision by the owner. The owner can get fined and the pets can be taken away. Dang! This is the last thing I would do to them. SOOOOOO they better watch out!
